German rail network set to receive second batch of Proton Motor hydrogen fuel cells

Proton Motor Power Systems has announced it has received a repeat order for its hydrogen fuel cell system.

German rail network operator, Deutsche Bahn, has placed a second order for Proton Motor’s system, which is based on the company’s standard HyModule® S8, after previously receiving the fuel cell system in 2016.

The system, set to be delivered in Q1 2024, will be utilised as application fuel cell substitute power supply in an emergency for rail infrastructure.
