German town deepens hydrogen mobility commitments with new buses and mobile refueller

The German town of Brühl, 20km south of Cologne, has deepened its commitments to hydrogen-powered transport, with six new buses set to go into service, and the arrival of the country’s ‘first’ compressor-free mobile refuelling station.

Stadtwerke Brühl, with its transport provider Regionalverkehr Köln (RVK), has ordered six new Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen buses to go into service across the town, with refuelling set to be provided by a NanoSUN mobile hydrogen refueler, delivered by Westfalen Group.

Cologne-based RVK, last June (2022), announced it had placed an order for 20 Solaris Urbino hydrogen buses, bringing its total fleet of Solaris buses up to 25.
