Global Energy Ventures accelerates development of green hydrogen ship

Global Energy Ventures has raised $6.3m to accelerate development of its compressed green hydrogen ship that will transport the zero-carbon fuel of the future.

A first-of-its-kind for the marine transport of large-scale volumes of hydrogen, C-H2 Ship will have a storage capacity of up to 2,000 tonnes of compressed green hydrogen.

Ballard Power Systems announced in February it will design the fuel cell system for the C-H2 Ship, based on its FCwaveTM technology, and will assist GEV with integration of the fuel cell system into the vessel’s design.
