Green hydrogen can help develop African energy access whilst also spearheading economic growth in the region with Germany actively establishing major partnerships to achieve this.
Africa has seen vast amounts of progress in green hydrogen developments across the region with countries such as South Africa, Niger, Mali and Namibia redirecting its focus on the utilisation of renewable energies through green hydrogen.
Coupled with Germany’s recently implemented National Hydrogen Strategy in 2020, there has been an increase in Germany-Africa partnership projects in the region.
