Green hydrogen partnership established by Monarch Energy and LS Power

Monarch Energy and LS Power have formed a partnership designed to deploy hydrogen projects through the US.

The New York-based LS Power will invest up to $400m into projects developed by the Californian company Monarch, as part of the newly established Clean Hydrogen Fuels, LLC platform.

LS Power has provided $25m in preferred equity financing for Monarch and will hold a seat on the company’s Board of Directors. The investment will be utilised in advancing Monarch’s pipeline of projects as it expands to new regions in the US.
