GreenH to develop hydrogen production and refuelling site for Indian train project

GreenH Electrolysis has agreed to develop a hydrogen production and refuelling station to support India’s ‘first’ hydrogen-powered train.

The joint venture (JV) between H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies and GR Promoter Group entered into a contract with Medha Servo Drives, agreeing to build the facilities in Jind, Haryana.

Under the Indian Railways “Hydrogen fer Heritage” initiative, Medha was awarded a contract for a pilot project to retrofit a Diesel Electric Multiple Unit rake, on the Sonipat-Jind section, to hydrogen and therefore achieve Indian Railways Net Zero goals.
