H-TEC Systems to provide 1MW electrolyser to Spanish hydrogen project

H-TEC Systems will deliver a 1MW PEM electrolyser ME450 to a green hydrogen project in Sevilla, Spain.

The German electrolyser manufacturer will provide the HUB LA ISLA H2 project with the electrolyser, which is aiming to produce up to 136 tonnes of green hydrogen per year in combination with a 1.5MW photovoltaic plant.

During this initial phase, SailH2 and Agencia IDEA will combine the two plants, via support from the Moves Singulares II grant. Following the first phase, the project will explore the production and distribution of 680 tonnes with an electrolysis power of 5MW, from 2025.

Located at the industrial site Poligono Industrial Isla in Dos Hermanas – a city district of Sevilla – the construction work is expected to be finalised in by Q3 2024, once the electrolyser is delivered.
