H2 Green Steel signs seven-year €1.89bn supply agreement with Marcegaglia

H2 Green Steel today (May 2) revealed that it has signed a seven-year agreement for the delivery of hydrogen-produced green steel with the Italian steel group, Marcegaglia, worth €1.89bn ($2.07bn).

Under the agreement, H2 Green Steel’s plant in Boden, Sweden, will supply Marcegaglia’s operations in southern Europe, the UK and Poland.

The Italian group is a key player in the European steel industry with 37 steel plants across three continents, covering flat and welded pipe insulation, construction, guardrail divisions, stainless steel long products, flat products, tubes and cold drawn bars, and heavy plates.
