H2 Green Steel to supply hydrogen-produced steel to Volvo Group

H2 Green Steel will supply Volvo Group with its hydrogen-produced steel as the vehicle major looks to decarbonise its supply chains.

The long-term supply agreement will see green steel produced at H2 Green Steel’s plant in Boden, Sweden, delivered to Volvo Group from mid 2026, for the OEM to introduce the material into its products.

As one of the main input materials in manufacturing trucks, buses and construction machines, cleaner steel comes as a core element of Volvo’s plans to decarbonise its supply networks.
