H2Scan and Lamons to develop next-gen gaskets for hydrogen sensors

H2Scan has agreed to advance its hydrogen sensing solutions in collaboration with safety sealing and attachment application company Lamons.

The two companies are expected to collaborate on the next generation of gaskets for sensing in the hydrogen industry.

A statement released by the companies said H2Scan and Lamon will combine its “expertise and dedication to innovation” and that customers “can look forward to the future of gasket technology with confidence and anticipate unparalleled performance and peace of mind in their operations.”

David Meyers, H2Scan CEO, said, “By combining H2Scan leak detection expertise with Lamons’ advanced safety sealing solutions, together we’ll enable an important step forward in moving toward a clean, safe and cost-effective hydrogen economy.”

Lamons’ CEO, Marc Roberts, added, “By joining forces with a leader in sensing solutions, we’re not just enhancing our products; we’re revolutionising how our customers experience them.”

H2Scan launched its maintenance-free hydrogen sensor last year (2023), the HY-ALERTA 5021. It is capable of detecting low levels of hydrogen in the presence of other gases that could cause false alarms with other sensor technologies.
