Haffner Energy changes hydrogen technology roll out plans

Haffner Energy is launching a new roll-out phase of its Hynoca® technology for decarbonising and producing green hydrogen and renewable gas by thermolysis of biomass.

The French-based company on Wednesday (June 1) signed an amendment to contracts with R-Hynoca, a joint venture with Réseau Energies Renouvelables (ENR), which will see two modules producing a total of 30kg of hydrogen per hour, instead of three with the same capacity.

Planned to be installed at the ENR’s parent company, R-GDS’ site in Strasbourg, France, it is hoped the upscaled modules will reduce the footprint on the site.
