Honda has begun production of its hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) at its Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Ohio, US.
The 2025 CR-V e:FCEV is currently the only vehicle of its type manufactured in the US and will use the company’s next-gen fuel cell system that it’s developing in collaboration with General Motors at its Brownstown, Michigan facility.

These fuel cells are expected to be one-third less expensive to develop when compared to the cost of the 2019 Honda Clarity fuel cell.
