How can the hydrogen industry achieve equity for women?

International Women’s Day (IWD) 2024 has been marked as an opportunity to Inspire Inclusion and celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political inclusion of women everywhere.

For the hydrogen industry, which finds itself at the cross roads of moving from niche to mainstream, lies an opportunity to develop itself as a shining example of how diversity, equity and inclusion can be implemented effectively.

Across many headlines, skills shortages and training requirements have all been documented. The UK alone expects its hydrogen strategy to support 9,000 direct jobs by 2030, with up to 100,000 supported directly by 2050.
