Hy2gen has appointed Astrid Hartwijk as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) to coordinate the company’s corporate strategy.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, Hartwijk will support Hy2Gen in achieving its goal of producing renewable hydrogen economically on a large scale and lead the global implementation of its strategy.
Commenting on her appointment, Hartwijk said, “My task here will be to move projects from the development stages into reality with speed, focus and sound business care.
“To do that we will need to navigate the still developing regulatory landscapes, markets and supply chain challenges.”
She has previously been the Transformation Director at Shell and the Business Opportunity Manager for Offshore Facilities, in which she led energy projects from the initiation phase to the start of operations.
Hy2Gen’s CEO, Cyril Dufau-Sansot, claimed the appointment of Hartwijk will enter the company into “a new era of achievement.”
Dana Kallasch, Chairwomen of the Hy2Gen Supervisory Board, added, “Astrid Hartwijk brings a wealth of experience from different areas, making her an extremely versatile leader.
