HyCC contracts McPhy and Technip Energies for 20MW Dutch green hydrogen project

HyCC has contracted McPhy and Technip Energies for the electrolyser supply, design and construction of a 20MW green hydrogen plant planned for the Netherlands.

Set to be operated by HyCC using McPhy electrolysers, the ‘Djewels’ plant will produce 3,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year, with offtake expected to be supplied to OCI Methanol Europe for the production of renewable methanol.

Located in Delfzijl, the Netherlands, the plant is set to be the first to use McPhy’s Augmented McLyzer at scale, an electrolyser said to offer higher current density and thus flexibility in production with reduced spatial requirements.
