Hydrogen Europe calls on the EU Commission to revise a proposed Delegated Act to support hydrogen and not hamper it

Hydrogen Europe has released a new open letter that calls on the European Commission to revise the proposed Delegated Act (DA) on Art. 27.3 to ensure that it does not hamper the EU’s hydrogen target.

This aims to supplement the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) by setting out rules for the production of renewable hydrogen from electricity.

The letter outlines that the DA will be decisive factor in achieving the EU’s 6GW hydrogen target by 2024 and 40GW by 2030 however the proposed agreement will make this harder to achieve.
