A new hydrogen hub will be developed in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia, as part of the state’s commitment to be a leader in clean and green energy.
Confirming plans for the development on Monday (June 28), the Andrews Labour Government said the hub is part of a wider $34.9m plan which will also see construction of a battery facility.
Funded by the Government, the projects will be developed to meet bespoke requirements in defence, agriculture, disaster zones and health settings.
Once operational, the hydrogen part of the development, dubbed Hycel Technology Hub, will develop and manufacture hydrogen fuel technology, with a focus on transport and heavy vehicles, storage and industry applications.
