Hydrogen-powered buses set to hit the street of Venice, Italy

Polish-based Solaris has today (November 3) revealed it will deliver four hydrogen-powered Urbino 12 buses to Venice, Italy, following the conclusion of two contracts exceeding €2.5m ($2.4m).

Destined for operators, AVM Venezia and ACTV SPA Venezia, the 12-metre hydrogen fuel cell electric buses are expected to arrive in the Italian city by mid-2023.

H2 View understands, the buses are planned to provide public transport services in Venice, as well as communes within Venice and Chioggia.
