Hydrogen powers EV charging and site battery at UK construction expo

Hydrogen fuel cell generators powered electric vehicle (EV) charging and a site battery at UK construction equipment expo Plantworks in June (2023).

Hydrologiq deployed an EODev 110kVA GEH2 fuel cell generator from Renewable Generation Limited to power a temporary battery EV charging unit, supplied by BAM Charging Solutions, the Site+, to highlight the need for both hydrogen and battery solutions.

Construction industry player Nixon Hire also provided a site accommodation unit with intelligent 60kWh lithium-ion energy storage and distribution system to integrate the power generation set up, using intelligent load management for minimum fuel consumption and maximum emissions reduction.
