Hydrogen progress has fallen behind expectations, says Air Products executive

Despite progress, hydrogen development has fallen short of expectations, according to Ivo Bols, President of Europe and Africa at Air Products, speaking at the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

“Although progress has been made over the past year, I think we all have to admit, not to the extent that we had expected,” Bols told the summit in a keynote address.

He said the “beneficial impact” of supportive hydrogen policies are already being felt, but admitted, “few hydrogen projects have progressed beyond the drawing board.”
