Hyundai to more than double Hynion refuelling station capacity

Hyundai Motor Norway has agreed to contribute to the operational costs of the only publicly operating hydrogen refuelling station in Norway.

Hynion’s station in Høvik, outside Oslo, will be upgraded with a second refuelling line through Hyundai’s support to ensure the availability of hydrogen. This would more than double the capacity of the refuelling station.

In addition to this station, Hyundai also manages a station in Porsgrunn, although it is currently closed pending re-certification. H2 View understands that Hynion wants to explore opportunities to establish new hydrogen refuelling stations.

Slavica Djuric, Hynion’s CEO claimed the company was “incredibly pleased and grateful” for Hyundai’s support. He said, “As a world leader in the development of hydrogen fuel vehicles, Hyundai’s commitment to supporting our operations at the Høvik station is a testament to their decision to a fossil-free future.”
