Zero-emission hydrogen and fuel cell powered vehicle supplier Hyzon Motors is collaborating with Hylion to jointly develop a heavy-duty fuel cell vehicle.  

Under the agreement, Hyzon’s fuel cell technology and Hylion’s electric powertrain solution will be combined in a prototype vehicle, built on a class 8 sleeper chassis.  

The company says the prototype will be a ‘meaningful step’ in the transition of long-haul, heavy-duty trucking to zero-emissions.  

The completion of the prototype vehicle is expected to be released early in Q4.
