IBM and FuelCell Energy utilise AI to boost fuel cell performances

IBM and FuelCell Energy have announced they will collaborate on boosting the performance of hydrogen-based fuel cell technology.

The two companies will use Foundation Models, a form of generative AI, to boost the technology’s performance and support efforts to lead a global transition to renewable energy sources.

Throught the collaboration, IBM will research ways that FuelCell Energy can extend the life of its fuel cells through an optimal control of operational parameters and their cost effectiveness for customers.
