Imerys and Sibelco set to offtake green hydrogen from Carlton Power’s Devon production site

Carlton Power’s Langage green hydrogen project in Devon, UK, is set to supply hydrogen fuel to international mining and materials companies Imerys and Sibelco.

The companies both signed partnership agreement with Carlton Power for the supply of green hydrogen from the 10MW site, located eight miles east of Plymouth, for their nearby facilities to support greenhouse gas (GHG) emission cutting plans.

Imerys plans to use hydrogen to replace natural gas in calcinating operations at its Lee Moor site as the company looks to reduce it GHG emissions by 42% by 2030.
