Impact Coatings has announced its Coating Service Centre in Shanghai is now in operation to supply Chinese customers with bipolar fuel cell plate coatings produced in the country.
With an initial capacity to produce one million fuel cell plates per year, the company says the facility is prepared to scale up volumes.
It is hoped the centre, set up with a local coating partner specialised in hydrogen applications, the qualification and production will be scaled up, with domestic production also offering reduced costs, administration and environmental impact related to transportation.
