Innovative underground hydrogen storage solution to be developed by new duo

Underground hydrogen storage solutions are at the heart of a new partnership between Schneider Electric and Storengy, an Engie subsidiary.

The duo on Wednesday (Feb 3) said they have inked a deal to develop a solution powered by local renewable energy to produce renewable hydrogen that will be installed in a salt cavern for underground hydrogen storage.

Works for the hydrogen storage solution will include the design of a power systems and process automation solution dedicated to underground hydrogen storage.
