Investments for Canadian hydrogen refuelling announced as part of Clean Fuels Fund

The Canadian Government has announced a combined investment of more than CAD$8.8m ($6.6m) to six organisations for 10 hydrogen and natural gas refuelling stations, as part of a CAD$1.6bn ($1.12bn) Clean Fuels Fund (CFF).

It is hoped the refuelling station projects approved for funding will help to accelerate the decarbonisation of road transportation in the country, as it looks to meet its 2050 Net Zero goals.

H2 View understands, funding for the projects will be provided through Natural Resources Canada’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Programme (ZEVIP), and the Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment (EVAFIDI).
