Italian styled hydrogen-powered SUV with removable fuel tanks unveiled

NAMX and Pininfarina unveiled last Wednesday (May 11), the prototype hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) SUV, ‘the HUV’, partially fuelled by interchangeable fuel tanks.

NAMX is yet to detail how its ‘patented removable fuel capsule system’ will work, however, claims the technology will make ‘hydrogen widely available’, and allow home deliveries with tank changes in seconds.

The HUV, styled by the Italian design house, Pininfarina, is the newcomer to the hydrogen-powered car market and boasts up to 550bhp in its top end version.
