KBR wins contract to supply its ammonia technology to Middle East

KBR Technology has announced its ammonia technology has been selected for a large-scale, 1Mtpa low-carbon ammonia facility.

H2 View understands the facility will be based within the GCC region and reinforces its focus to emerge as a leader in low carbon fuels by capitalising on ammonia as a vector for clean hydrogen.

The contract will ensure KBR provide the technology license, basic engineering design, proprietary equipment and catalyst for the plant.

Doug Kelly, KBR President, said, “This project will be amongst the first large energy transition projects to come onstream in the world and we are excited to be part of this journey with several global industry leaders.”
