Kenworth and Toyota to begin production of hydrogen-powered truck

Kenworth will begin production of its class 8 zero emissions T680 hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) in conjunction with Toyota.

The company collaborated with Toyota Motor North America on the development of the T680 FCEV, integrating the carmaker’s latest hydrogen fuel cell technology advancements into the vehicle.

Kenworth dealers in the US and Canada are accepting deposits for the first vehicles, with initial customer deliveries planned for 2024 and serial production planned in 2025.
