Land secured for 3,000MW green hydrogen electrolysis facility in Australia

Stanwell has revealed today (June 8) that it has secured land for its proposed 3,000MW green hydrogen electrolysis facility that will be situated at Aldoga, 20km west of Gladstone, Australia.

It is believed that once operational, the plant will be capable of producing A$4.2bn ($3.25bn) in green hydrogen exports.

The facility is being developed in collaboration with Japan’s largest domestic hydrogen supplier, Iwatani Corporation, and is hoped that that the green hydrogen produced here with be available for export to Japan and the local Gladstone industries.
