Lexus reveals new off-road vehicle powered by a hydrogen combustion engine

Hydrogen mobility continues to provide innovative new applications with Lexus unveiling a recreational off-highway vehicle (ROV) on Thursday (Dec 2) suited for off-road driving.

Powered by Lexus’ first hydrogen engine, the ROV features exposed suspension, a protective cage and chunky off-road tyres that makes the vehicle a perfect, close to zero-emission solution for off-road driving.

The 1.0-litre hydrogen engine operates like a petrol internal combustion engine with hydrogen contained within a sturdy high-pressure tank which delivers the hydrogen into the combustion chamber through direct injection.
