Lhyfe Occitanie facility inaugurated in the south of France

Lhyfe and AREC Occitanie have inaugurated one of France’s largest green and renewable hydrogen production sites.

The 5MW Occitanie site will be capable of producing up to two tonnes of green and renewable hydrogen per day, with the possibility to further ramp up production to keep pace with increasing demands.

Located at the Triangle business park in Bessiéres, the facility will support the decarbonisation of mobility and industry sectors across the region.

Lhyfe Occitanie hydrogen is produced via electrolysis of water using renewable electricity, and the companies have signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) contracts with electricity producers, including VSB Energies Nouvelles and Kallista Energy, to ensure power supply.
