Linde plans $150m ASU and hydrogen recovery unit at H2 Green Steel plant

Linde is set to support H2 Green Steel’s green hydrogen-based steel production with a $150m air separation unit (ASU) and a separate hydrogen recovery and purification unit.

Linde today (May 1) announced it would invest $150m to build, own and operate an ASU at the site of H2 Green Steel’s Boden green steel plant in northern Sweden to supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon.

The ASU is expected to start up by 2026 and also supply gases to existing and new customers.
