LONGI to provide alkaline electrolysers to ‘world’s largest green hydrogen project’

One year after its inception, LONGI Hydrogen has won the Sinopec Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project, to supply ‘world leading large scale’ alkaline water electrolyser equipment. 

Announced today (May 12), the China based company will provide its water electrolysis equipment with a four to one electrolyser, gas-liquid separation system, which LONGi claims can achieve 4000Nm3/h of hydrogen production.  

LONGi says its system is designed to achieve high density, low power consumption and small footprint. The company hopes that its alkaline electrolyser will reach 1.5GW capacity by the end of 2022, and 5GW before 2026.
