It has been revealed, a major Power-to-X (PtX) plant in Denmark, will supply green hydrogen to the Port of Esbjerg and surplus heat from the production process into a local heating network to heat up to 200 households.
European Energy has said its planned PtX plant in Esbjerg, Denmark will be ready in the first half of 2023, offering a supply of green hydrogen to ships docked in the municipality’s port, as well as Danish industrial customers.
Esbjerg utilities company, DIN Forsyning has also entered into an agreement with European Energy which will see excess heat from the production of green hydrogen used to heat the equivalent of 200 typical households during the project’s start-up phase.
