McPhy to supply 16MW electrolyser to the world’s first multi-megawatt hydrogen power plant

The world’s first multi-megawatt hydrogen power plant in Western French Guiana will be equipped with a 16MW high-power electrolyser supplied by McPhy the company said on Wednesday (Sept 29).

The $200m project, dubbed Western French Guiana Power Plant (CEOG), will combine photovoltaic energy and massive storage capabilities, mainly in the form of hydrogen, to provide a huge boost to the renewable energy markets.
