METI release hydrogen-powered drone guidelines

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has released a set of guidelines for safe operation of drones driven by hydrogen fuel cells.

Released earlier this month, the guidelines were put together in together in collaboration with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and the High Pressure Gas Safety Institute of Japan.

METI published the guidelines effort to help companies’ operations and dissemination of hydrogen-powered drones and demonstrate tests to assess the safety and such innovations.
