Momentum building for hydrogen in the UK: Jacob Young elected Chair of the Hydrogen APPG

With political enthusiasm building for the UK to become a world leader in hydrogen technology, Jacob Young, Conservative MP for Redcar, has been elected Chair of the Hydrogen All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG).

Established in July 2018, the cross-party group of MPs and Peers advocates for greater policy support and financial investment in the development of hydrogen technology across the UK.

In just 18 months it has become one of the largest APPGs, with a total of 28 parliamentarians holding an official role within the group.
