Nanofilm to dip into hydrogen economy with vacuum coating technology

Nanofilm Technologies has signed an agreement with Temasek to jointly invest in Sydrogen Energy and tap into the lucrative hydrogen economy using unique vacuum coating technologies.

With the joint venture, Nanofilm, an advanced technology solutions company, intends on using its advanced materials surface solution to create critical components that will be utilised in both fuel cell and electrolyser systems.

Nanofilm’s advanced materials coatings enable catalysts to pivot towards adoption of metal Biopolar Plates (BPP) which are thought to be more superior than competing plate materials.

Sydrogen will focus on commercialising the adoption of these advanced materials coating process for key components in proton-exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) system stacks.
