Nearly 600 hydrogen stations globally, says Information Trends study

Nearly 600 hydrogen stations have been deployed in more than 30 countries, as of year-end 2020, says new study by market research firm Information Trends.

Global Market for Hydrogen Fueling Stations, 2021 highlights the dramatic acceleration in growth the market is witnessing, with 583 stations in 33 countries – and more nations are gearing up to enter the market.

Breaking that data down, Information Trends says the Americas holds a 12% share of hydrogen stations globally in 2020, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) holds 36% of the share and Asia-Pacific (APAC) a massive 52%.

Looking ahead to 2035, the study says hydrogen stations will blanket most of the US, Western Europe, China, Japan and South Korea by then.
