Nel announces 4GW electrolyser manufacturing facility for Michigan

Nel ASA has selected Plymouth Charter Township, Michigan, as the location for its next alkaline and PEM gigafactory in the US.

The facility is expected to have a total annual capacity of 4GW alkaline and PEM technology, making it one of the world’s largest electrode manufacturing plants.

The Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) has decided to support the project with a $10m Michigan Business Development grant and also approved a 15-year, 100% State Essential Services Assessment (SESA) Exemption Request valued up to $6.25m.
