New American coalition is targeting green hydrogen production at $1.50/kg by 2030

A new collaboration has been established, dubbed HyDeal LA, that will look to achieve at-scale green hydrogen procurement at $1.50/kg in the LA Basin by 2030.

This initiative has been revealed by the Green Hydrogen Coalition, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and other key partners today (May 17).

Phase 1 of HyDeal LA will architect the high value competitive supply chain necessary to achieve $1.50/kg delivered green hydrogen in the LA Basin by 2030.

As well as this, an in-principal agreement will be achieved on the necessary terms and conditions for production, storage, transport and delivery of green hydrogen at scale – all of which will be required to establish the green hydrogen ecosystem and economy in Los Angeles.
