New deal could see a hydrogen economy scaled in Chile and Singapore

A domestic hydrogen economy in Chile and Singapore could be scaled up as part of a new deal between the two countries.

Chile’s Energy Minister Juan Carlos Jobet and Singapore’s Trade and Industry Minister Dr. Tan See Leng inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on green hydrogen earlier this month.

It will see Chile and Singapore collaborate on projects and initiatives to advance the deployment of hydrogen as an alternative energy source.

Other opportunities include exchange of information and policies on the management and development of hydrogen-related technology and resources; establishment of supply chains for hydrogen and its derivatives; and strengthening of networks and partnerships on hydrogen.
