New Flyer selects Hexagon Purus’ hydrogen cylinders for fuel cell buses

Hexagon Purus has been selected by Canadian bus manufacturer New Flyer as a supplier of hydrogen cylinders.

The Norwegian-based company has been selected for the third year in a row as a partner for the hydrogen bus market in North America.

New Flyer, a subsidiary of NFI Group and ‘largest’ mass mobility solutions provider, is playing an active role in zero emission transportation in North America, putting sustainable buses and infrastructure in place in cities across the US and Canada.

Hexagon Purus will deliver its Type 4 hydrogen storage cylinders between the second quarter of 2023 and the first of 2024, under a contract estimated to be valued at approximately $2.5m (NOK 25m).
