A new hydrogen fuel cell electric hybrid terminal truck has hit the North American market.
Capacity Trucks, a REV Group company, on Thursday (August 26) said it has produced the first two trucks as part of its effort to cut emissions with both hydrogen and battery technologies.
With the first models now complete, Capacity Trucks said it will continue to advance the “next evolution” of hydrogen fuel cell power and hopes to be producing the trucks at its maximum rate in 2022.
On the innovation, Ryan Rockafellow, Vice-President and General Manager of Capacity Trucks, said, “Since its inception, Capacity Trucks has been a leader in the marketplace.
“With our focus and commitment to alternative fuels, we will continue to lead in this space. As part of REV Group, we are proud to support the organisation’s focus on developing alternative fuel specialty vehicles.”
Capacity Trucks’ new innovations will be on display and available for test drives at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Conference in Long Beach, California.
