New study aims to explore storing 1.3TWh of hydrogen in salt cavities for the HyNet project

Costain is to lead a concept development and front-end engineering design (FEED) study for a hydrogen storage facility in the northwest of England to support the HyNet project the group revealed today (Oct 8).

The study will explore the possibility of storing 1.3TWh of hydrogen in the southern part of the Holford Brinefield in Cheshire within underground salt cavities.
