New study to explore the potential of Germany’s first large-scale offshore green hydrogen park

Backed by companies such as RWE, Shell, Gasunie and Equinor, a new study is set to investigate the potential for a large-scale offshore hydrogen park in the German North Sea.

The groups have stated that this would make it Germany’s first large-scale offshore hydrogen park with an aim to have a ~300MW electrolyser capacity by 2028 subject to a feasibility study.

This is the vision for the AquaSector project.
