No glory in being a hydrogen first mover if others don’t quickly follow: Air Products

Air Products wants other companies to commit to building large-scale renewable and low-carbon hydrogen projects to ensure that a reliable, competitive market forms, a company executive has told H2 View.

Ivo Bols, President, Europe and Africa at Air Products, said there was “no glory” in being a first mover if there are not “fast followers.”

“Even the best first mover cannot create a reliable, competitive market,” Bols told H2 View. “Whilst we are very proud of our NEOM project, our projects here in Europe, or the projects we’re doing in the US and Canada, we need more projects to come to market.”
