Norway has joined Europe’s IPCEI (Important Project for Common European Interest) initiative for hydrogen as the country takes steps to achieve its climate goals.
The scheme which will support the development and market introduction of innovative hydrogen technologies and solutions.
A number of European countries will participate together with Norway, including Germany and Denmark. State enterprise Enova will manage Norway’s participation in the IPCEI for hydrogen.
“Hydrogen will be important to achieve our climate goals. Norway has good conditions for developing and using the technology, but we do not have to do everything alone,” said Minister of Climate and Environment Sveinung Rotevatn.
